    FED POLY OFFA ND/HND PART TIME ADMISSION 2018/2019 ANNOUNCED




    The Federal Polytechnic, Offa is inviting application from suitably qualified candidates into its Part-Time National Diploma and Higher National Diploma Programmes for 2018/2019 academic session.
    A. NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) PART-TIME
    The under listed two (2) years of six (6) semesters Part-Time programmes leading to the award of National Diploma are available.
    1.  SCHOOL OF APPLIED SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY
    i.     Computer Science
    ii     Food Technology
    iii    Science Laboratory Technology
    iv    Statistics
    2.   SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT STUDIES
    i.     Accountancy

    3.    SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION  TECHNOLOGY
    i.       Library and Information Science
    ii.       Mass Communication

    4.    SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY
    i.       Civil Engineering
    ii.      Computer Engineering Technology

    B. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) PART-TIME
    The under listed two (2) years of six (6) semesters (Evening and weekend) Part-Time programmes leading to the award of Higher National Diploma are available.
    1. SCHOOL OF APPLIED SCIENCES AND  TECHNOLOGY

    a.      Biology/Microbiology option
    b.      Chemistry/Biochemistry option
    c.      Physics with Electronics option

    2. SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND  MANAGEMENT  STUDIES
    ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND)
    The entry requirements for all National Diploma (ND) programmes are as follows: SSC, GCE O’Level, NTC/NBC (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB O’Level exams) O’Level with at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language & Mathematics obtained at not more than two (2) sittings.
    ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND)
    The entry requirements for all Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes are as follow:
    1. Candidates are required to Possess National Diploma (ND) in their chosen programme at not below LOWER CREDIT Classification from a recognized/accredited Polytechnic. However, candidates with pass grade at the ND/NID are eligible for consideration for admission provided they have minimum of two (2) years post Industrial Training experience.
    2. Candidates are to possess at least five (5) relevant O’level credits including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two (2) sittings from such examinations as SSC, GCE O’Level, NTC/NBC (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB O’level examinations)
    3. Candidates are required to have at least one year post National Diploma industrial training experience.
    Every applicant for  the Polytechnic HND Programme who did not obtain his/her ND from the Federal  Polytechnic Offa are required to forward a copy of  his/her National Diploma Transcript to the Office of the Registrar.
     HND Part-Time Students Should Note the following;
    Three (3) years of six Semesters (Evening and weekend) programmes are available in all the courses as obtainable in the HND Full-Time except in Architectural Technology.
    Please note that the HND Part-Time programmes are primarily for the working class; who for reason of employment cannot attend regular HND programmes. It is also important to note that PT HND GRADUATES ARE EXEMPTED from participating in the National Youth Service (NYSC) Scheme.
