(Day 13 of the Fasting and Prayer Programme: Jan 15, 2018): HARNESSING THE MIRACULOUS POWER IN THE WORD

HARNESSING THE MIRACULOUS POWER IN THE WORD

    Jan 15, 2018

(Day 12 of the Fasting and Prayer Programme)

    Scripture Reading: Acts 20:32
Hebrews 11:3 says, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God…” Luke 1:37 (ASV) says, “For no word from God shall be void of power.” Psalms 33:6-9 says, “By the Word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth…For He spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.” Child of God, your miracle is in God’s word spoken with faith. With faith-filled words, Jesus calmed the raging sea.

With faith-filled words, Jesus raised the widow’s son. With faith-filled words, Jesus called Lazarus from the tomb. Jesus spoke creative words to the man with the withered hand. Jesus spoke healthy words to the woman with the spirit of infirmity. To the paralytic Jesus’ words were, “Take up thy bed”. In Matthew 8:5-13, the centurion, knowing the authority and power of Jesus’ words proclaimed, “Speak the Word only and my servant shall be healed”.
God’s Word is able to build us up and give us our inheritance. God’s Word has inherent power within itself to bring itself to pass. Psalms 107:20 (NKJV) says, “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction”. Therefore, go to the Word of God if you need healing and deliverance. God’s Word, when sown into our regenerated heart, brings forth miraculous results. God’s Word is a spiritual food to nourish and strengthen the believer. The level of our spiritual strength today is the result of how consistently and diligently we fed our spirit on God’s Word, yesterday. So, spend this period not only in worship, but also in feeding yourselves with the unfailing Word of God. Jesus says in John 17:14, “I have given them Your word.” Jeremiah says, “The Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it.” (Jer. 1:12) (ESV) God’s Words are His thoughts; so we release the mind of God when we pray and confess His Word. Right words are forcible (Job 6:5), and they are life and spirit (Jn6:63).
Brethren, God is committed to watch over His Word to ensure that it performs and produces the very thing He has promised. The scriptural reference says, “Brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” Your “inheritance” is in the Word of God. Your healing is in the Word. All you need has been provided for, in the Word. So confess them.
