There are nine planets in the solar system. They include.
Among these nine planets, only earth is said to be suitable enough to host life. It is also the most beautiful planet. There are several reasons why that conclusion is right.
POSITION OF THE EARTH
The earth is positioned at just the right place. If it were too close to the sun, life would be unbearable, too hot. And if it were a bit farther from the sun, everywhere will be snowy.
THE EARTH'S TILT
Today, the Earth's axis is tilted 23.5 degrees from the plane of its orbit around the sun. But this tilt changes. During a cycle that averages about 40,000 years, the tilt of the axis varies between 22.1 and 24.5 degrees. This helps us to have seasons (day, night, harmattan, rainy, dry, summer, winter). Agriculture and other species rely on this. If the earth didn't tilt, then it would mean that one part of the earth will experience total darkness forever while the other part will experience daylight forever, none of them would be good.
SIZE OF THE EARTH
The size of the earth is just right. Measured at the equator, the Earth has a circumference of 40,075.017 km or 24,901.461 miles. But measured from pole to pole, that is to say, along the meridian line, the Earth has a circumference of 40,007.86 km or 24,859.73 miles.
If the earth were much smaller, its molten iron core would have exhausted its heat and stopped producing a magnetic field. At which point the sun would have blasted the reduced earth's atmosphere away (the atmosphere is less attached due to smaller mass). The air and water are blown out to space and what is left is a rocky planet like Mars.
If the earth was bigger, gravity and mass would be stronger and weight will increase. Trees would start to collapse and any new trees that grow in their place might not grow as tall. So, none of them would be good.
These are some of the several reasons why only the earth supports life.
