UNIMAID PRODUCES 78 FIRST CLASS GRADUATES


The University of Maiduguri yesterday disclosed that it will during its Convocation Ceremony for 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 academic sessions, produce a total of 78 First Class Graduates. This was disclosed by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Ibrahim Njodi, at a pre-convocation press conference in Maiduguri.

FG TO SET UP SCIENCE CENTRES IN SIX GEOPOLITICAL ZONES



Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, disclosed this while inaugurating the Chemistry Pavilion Block of the Assumpta Science Centre during the week in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

OYO STATE GOVERNOR ORDERS NEW BUTCHER TO MOVE TO NEWLY BUILT ABBATOIR


The abattoir is located in Amosun village, Akinyele Local Government, Ibadan.
The governor said the butchers must relocate, latest by the end of April.
He gave the directive during a stakeholders’ meeting held at the House of Chiefs, Secretariat, Ibadan over the weekend.
The Butchers Association was led to the meeting by the Southwest Coordinator, Alhaji Biliaminu Elesinmeta; and the State Chairman, Alhaji Azeez Alagunfon.

I scored less than 180 in JAMB, which course can I study? What are the lists of Universities that accept below 180 in JAMB? Is there any university that accept 100, 120, 140, 150, 160,170 JAMB Score? These are the trending questions among those that failed JAMB with scores less than 180. But, I think they should be not be asking for courses they can study wit those scores. They will probably NEVER get an answer to that question. Instead, they should ask for the list of universities/schools that accept 140//150/160/170.

NYSC ANNOUNCES 2018 BATCH A ORIENTATION DATE; TO POST CORPS MEMBERS TO FARMS




The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) says it will include farming and crop production as part of the one year primary assignment for corps members from the next service year. Mr Bello Ballama, the NYSC FCT Coordinator, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Thursday.

JAMB EXPLAINS REMOVAL OF CANDIDATES' RESULTS ON ITS PORTAL




The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said the 2018 Unified Tertiary University Examinations (UTME) candidates who could no longer access their results even after seeing it inititially might have had their results withheld.
This was disclosed by the boards head of media., Fabian Benjamin, in an interview with newsmen.

It was gathered that some candidates have earlier becried the the removal of their released results from the website of the Board, after initially accessing it.

JAMB 2018 CHANGE OF COURSE, INSTITUTION AND DATA CORRECTION PROCESS HAS BEGUN




The JAMB change of course and institution for 2018 has begun. The board has directed all candidates who wish to change their course/ institution to proceed to the board’s site and follow the procedure as displayed.
The process is currently ongoing and costs N2, 500 only and can only be processed online, just like every other process of the board.


NYSC WILL NOT BE SCRAPPED – FG





The Federal Government through the Minister of Youth Development and Sports, Mr. Solomon Dalong has said that the National Youth Service Programme has come to stay despite calls from some quarters to scrap it.
He made this known during the inspection of the Lagos State Orientation Camp.
According to him, the advantages of NYSC far outweighs the disadvantages as it has nit only enhanced the socio-cultural and ethnic integration in the country but had also promoted national unity.
